Alma Rodriguez, 55, of South Houston, TX went home to be with the Lord February 17, 2024 surrounded by family. She was born in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico on December 25, 1968 to Juan and Irene Gonzalez. She was married to her best friend, Armando Rodriguez for 39 wonderful years. She also had a long and successful career in finance.
Alma had a passion for life! She adored her family and friends. She loved cooking and traveling, especially to the Hill Country where she enjoyed visiting wineries. She loved nature and taking care of her house plants. And let’s not forget ZUMBA! Alma was always there to help and guide anyone who came to her.
She was preceded in death by her father Juan and sister Maria Christina, grandparents Isauro and Maria Gonzalez and Isidoro and Eva Romero. She is survived by her husband Armando, son Armando Jr., son Steven (Kimberly Westerman), daughter Tiffany (Moses Cuevas), granddaughter Arianna Rodriguez, mother Irene Gonzalez, mother-in-law Julia Dimas, brothers Juan and Isidoro, sisters Laura (Ruben Jones), Sylvia (Luis Ramos), Gabriela (Nick Precella) and Shelley (Rick Barquero), and numerous nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation for Alma will be held Friday, February 23, 2024 from 12:00PM to 2:00PM. A Celebration of Alma's Life will begin at 2:00PM. Immediately following, she will be laid to rest at Grand View Memorial Park.
