Sylvia SPRINGER

She will be sadly missed by daughters, Lorraine (Guy), Louise (Herb), Cindy, Colleen (Dave) and Carolyn; son, Gary; grandchildren, Thadd,  Ashley (Neil), Nicholas,  Tyler, Lee, Arthur, Louis, and Kent (Rebecca); great grandchildren, Kabel and Lyla Fairhurst.  Sylvia was predeceased by her husband, Louis; sister, Gloria, and parents,,  Viola and Harley.

A joyful spark has been extinguished.   Sylvia will be remembered as a force to be reckoned with, a feisty, life loving, spiritual woman.  During her time in the Alberni Valley, she has been involved in many things.  Most notably, The Barkley Sounds Choir which was Sylvia's inspiration spanning the last 20 years.  She remained their manager until just a few years ago.  She was also the Chair of the Board of Heritage Place - Assisted Living Facility and President of her strata council.

Mum was inspired by many writers of our time.  In particular, Maya Angelou, Eckhart Tolle, M. Scott Peck, Don Miguel Ruiz, and Mahatma Gandhi.  This was one of her favourites:

"I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel."

Thank you to all of our family and friends for joining us in celebrating this amazing Mum, Grandma, Great Grandma, Sister, Aunt and Friend.  Thank you for the stories, memories, and songs shared by all.  Words cannot express our gratitude for the love and sympathies our family has received.
