My memory of Stella goes back to Harewood in 1965 when I became friends with Keith in Grade 7 at Harewood School, and Ed more or less around the same time. I always enjoyed shooting the breeze with her throughout my teen years and beyond. She was so down to earth and easy to chat with, and there was always a pot of tea ready to be poured. I can hear her responding to the latest bit of neighbourhood news with "Cripes, well I'll be darned." She was an important character for me during those crazy years between 13 and 19 and I am sad to see her go, even though I accept that was her time to leave. All things must pass.  

I will always have fond memories of hearing her gentle chuckle, while the smile reached her eyes as she watched the comic antics of that silly monkey.  I would often see this when I went over to visit Ed in his man cave upstairs.  I always felt welcomed by Stella.

I have so many fond memories of my favourite Aunt. She was always willing to try anything and gave me the sense that there wasn't anything I could do. A very special lady I felt privileged to call Aunt

I will miss you dearly mom. You were someone I could turn to for common sense and guidance. Thank you for all you did for me over the years. Love, Jim.

Thanks Mom, for your gift of life and putting up with us through the good and the bad times.  You were always there when we needed you and unselfishly made sacrifices to ensure our journey through life was unhindered. You were a treasure as our mother and even more as a grandmother.  You made our world a better place. You leave us with a huge hole in our hearts but we all know you are in a better place.
