Ronald Douglas Stafford, of Deep Bay, B.C., born September 4th, 1945, passed away peacefully on June 18th, 2017 surrounded by his family.
Ron was kind, gentle, selfless and courageous. He worked at BC Transit, loved cars, photography, sunsets, dogs and gardening at his beloved oceanfront home.
Ron was predeceased by parents David Earl Stafford and Kathleen Winnifred Stafford and sister, Carole Anne McQueen. Survived by his beloved wife of 47 years Marilyn Gail Stafford, son David Ronald Stafford and his wife Wendy and their children Kieran and Rhianna, daughter Sara Gail Stafford and her husband Shane and their children Ethan and Lauren, and sister Janet Eloise.
We are grateful for the wonderful care of all the staff at Nanaimo Hospital, Trillium Hospice, Dr. Jacques Simenhoff and Dr. Marlene Van Der Weyde. In lieu of flowers or a service please send donations in his name to Prostate Cancer Canada or Alzheimer Society of B.C.
