October 11, 1943 – December 27, 2017
Rick passed away peacefully at home with his loved ones by his side. Rick fought a short but brave battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife Shirley, daughter Kelly, son Brent and grandson Cody. Also mourning his loss are brothers Bob (Betty), Kenn, Tom, and sisters Denise Beztilny (Orest) and Renee Stacey (Bill G.)
Rick was predeceased by his parents, brother William, and sister Madeline Pape.
Rick had many talents and a very creative mind. He loved working in his shop, building furniture and carving. He was an accomplished scrimshander. He was quick to help his friends and give a helping hand.
Rick was active with the Schooner Cove Yacht Club, and served as Rear Commodore and Commodore in 2004 and 2005.
Rick's wish was to not have a funeral service. A Celebration of life will be held after the holidays.
