Jeannette Marie Cowan

Jeannette Marie Cowan passed away on April 10, 2025. She was 89 years old. Jeannette was the proud mother of three daughters and three grandchildren. Jeannette's greatest love was her family. All of her children were proud to call her Mom - and her spirit lives on in our love for family and living our best lives.

Born and raised in a small town, Margo, Saskatchewan, Jeannette moved to Toronto, Ontario - where she had her first home, and met her husband. Love brought them to the West Coast where they settled in Victoria, BC - where Jeannette was a devoted, strong, and independent Mother to her girls. Jeannette remained a prairie girl at heart, and chose to move back to Saskatchewan to live in Saskatoon for a stint, then ultimately moved back to the Island, this time in Parksville - always for the love of family.

Blessed with the help of her daughters, Jeannette continued to live independently in her own home as she wished. Jeannette leaves a legacy of love, family and special memories of her amazing trip to Australia and her free spirit to pick up and move where and when she wanted. A savvy business woman at a young age, with a sassy personality, and beautiful smile - she will be missed.

Her funeral will be a private ceremony for family members. We will be planting some daffodils at her gravesite and chose a beautiful sunny spot with a view of the Cherry Tree.
