(ART) NATHANIEL CROSS
MARCH 19, 1927 – JULY 22, 2014
Art was born in Le Pas, Manitoba and moved to Port Alberni in 1941. He married Dorothy Jean McGillivray on May 23rd 1946. They had six children, Barry/Susan, Sherry/Harvey, Lornajean/Bob, Fredrick (Rick)/Cathy, David (deceased) and Pamela (deceased), 12 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren and many extended family.
Over the years Art worked for West Coast Freight Service, Port Alberni Pulp Mill, the Government (grading roads), Camp One, and Sproat Lake Division. He took early retirement in 1987 so he could work in his shop, full time. He was an active member of the Presbyterian Church. He will be sadly missed by all that knew him.
A Celebration of Life will be on Aug 5, 2014 at Knox Presbyterian Church at 1:30 PM, with tea to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be given to the Heart and Stroke Society, the Cancer Society or the Presbyterian Church.
