William Andrew Perkins, 73, of Washington, passed away Feb. 3, 2011 at his residence.
He was born Feb. 28, 1937 in Parkersburg, a son of the late Woodrow Perkins and Alma Leta Naylor Buchanan. He was a member of the Fairview United Methodist Church, the Boy Scouts, and the Mustang Car Club.
He is survived by his wife, Glenna (Armel) Perkins; two sons, William S. (Tina) Perkins, and Kevin R. (Lisa) Perkins, all of Washington; one daughter, Leta D. (Steve) Harter of Parkersburg; five grandchildren, Billy, Charlene, and Dannielle Perkins, and Stephen and Coty Harter; two great-grandchildren, Kristen and Jasmine Harter; five brothers, James Buchanan of Mineral Wells, Robert (Allona) Buchanan, Jim Perkins of Parkersburg, Danny (Karen) Perkins of VA, and Steve (Jenny) Perkins of OH; and four sisters, Sharon Burdette, Susan (Willie) Wagoner, and Mary (Jack) Brown, all of Parkersburg, and Louise (Gary) Webster of MS.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one great-grandson, Michael Chase DeBerry.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Pastor Frank Miller officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at the funeral home.
