Shirley Fay Roberts

Shirley Fay Roberts, 57, of Mineral Wells, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2024, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family, after a courageous battle with cancer. Though her earthly journey has ended, her spirit now rests in heaven. A devoted homemaker, Shirley was the heart of her family, always tending to her home with love and care. Her warmth filled every room, not only through her delicious holiday feasts, but through her nurturing and serving presence. She cared deeply for those around her, especially her beloved husband and best friend, Jerry Roberts, with whom she shared countless adventures. Together, they found joy in life’s simple pleasures – riding motorcycles, boating, fishing, and escaping to their cabin. She was a proud and devoted mother to her daughter Brittiany (Josh) Burdette, and she spoiled her grandchildren, Bailey and Judah Burdette. Shirley also leaves behind her “bonus” children from Florida, Jami (Rocky) Rowell, Jeremy (Amber) Reed, and Jodi (John) Adams as well as their children – Connor, Cadence, Jenna, Bryce, John, and Riley. A woman of many interests, Shirley enjoyed cross-stitch, crochet, games, and sci-fi movies. Her dogs Harley and Loki, as well as her feline friends, will miss her playful, caring nature. Shirley is also survived by her parents, Ron and Pat Sams, whose care she tended to with a daughter’s steadfast love. Her memory will live on through the deep bonds of family and friendship. Per Shirley’s wishes, no formal services will be held, and she will be cremated. Her family finds comfort in knowing that she is now in heaven and free from pain.
