She was born April 22, 1930, in Rockport, WV, a daughter of the late Clarence and Georgia Deem Ramsey. After school Ruth met and married Everett Homer Tallman, December 2, 1948. Ruth was a devoted wife, mother, and sister. Many knew Ruth as “Mom” and “Grandma.” A caregiver, a hard worker, tender-hearted and gentle, yet strong of spirit. Ruth taught those around her Gods Word by example in her own life. She was active at the Lubeck Church of Christ from the time the church met at Lubeck. Ruth enjoyed many years as a designer and seamstress making clothing, needlework, quilts, and various originally design items. She and her husband enjoyed traveling, working around home, and being together. She also loved working in her beautiful flower beds, growing a garden each year, but most of all, spending time with her family, and in recent months with “Kaye’s Kitty’ from cousins, MJ & Larry Lemon.
In addition to her parents and husband, Ruth was preceded in death by her four sisters; four brothers; and one grandson, Jonathan K. Tallman.
Ruth is survived by sons, Kenneth L. Tallman of Lubeck, E. Keith (Barbara) Tallman of Apopka, FL; daughter, D. Kaye Tallman of Lubeck (friend Alan); sisters, Nina (Richard) Boice of Elizabeth, WV, Ann Tallman Stone, FL (Jonathan Tallman’s mother.)
