Robert Clarkson Smith

Robert (Bob) was born August 17, 1934, in Hoodsville, W.Va., to Oney C. and Hettie M. (Holstein) Smith.

He graduated from Rivesville High School. Bob was a loyal union member with BF Goodrich, before his retirement with 32 years of service. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading, spending time with his family, and being active in his church.

He was married to Hazel Eddy (Flinn) on June 12, 1993.

Bob was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by his daughters, Vicky (Joe) Dinenna of Bullhead City, Ariz., Kathy (Wayne) Bosserman of Huntsville, Ala.; stepsons, Steve (Vicky) Eddy and Rob (Dawn) Eddy of Parkersburg; grandchildren, Staff Sergeant Eric (Robin) Fox of Fort Hood, Texas, Amanda and Michael Bosserman of Huntsville, Ala., Phillip Abrams of Bullhead City, Ariz.; great-granddaughters, Hayley and Aubrey Fox of Harvest, Ala.; his sister, Beulah (Bob) Miller of Fairmont, W.Va.; and his friend and brother-in-law, Terry Wright of New Matamoras, Ohio.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Adeline (Ralph) Hill of Grantown, W.Va., Madeline (Dan) Cunningham of Hoodsville, W.Va.; and his first wife, Martha Smith (Wright) of Columbus, Ohio.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, January 15, at 3 p.m., at Christ Mission Baptist Church in Parkersburg, Pastor Mark Watkins will be officiating. Food will be offered after the service.
