She was born in Wallace, WV, a daughter of Stanley W. (Mike) and Jessie Opal Hutson Allen. Norma was a graduate of Wallace High School and was a Baptist. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Survivors include her daughters and their husbands; Sharon and Duane Cook of Greenville, SC, Peggy and Larry Kimes of Parkersburg and Charleston and son and his wife Roy A. and Paula Harbert of Pittsburgh, PA, nine grandchildren; Sherri (Jeff) Massey, Kevin (Marci) Cook, Rebecca (Andy) Gaston, and Leslie Cook, Robert C. (Randi Lea) Kimes, Jenifer Jo (Brian) Ault, Roy (Heather) Harbert, Sean Harbert, Nicholas Harbert, fifteen great grandchildren; Olivia Gaston, Emily Gaston, Allison Gaston, Audrey Gaston, Carmen McKee, Ramsey Cook, Ellison Cook, William Massey, Jessica Massey, Kayla Kimes, Cass Kimes, Kathryn Nelson, Sara Nelson, Rachael Ault and Roy Clayton Harbert and one great great grandchild; Ayden Riblett.
Norma was preceded in death by husband Roy C. Harbert in 2001 and brother, John E. Allen.
In following her wishes the visitation and funeral services were private with family in attendance. Burial was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Dr. Reverend William Thomas officiated the services.
The family has asked that remembrances be made to the Charity of the donor’s choice in Norma Harbert’s honor.
