He was born February 26, 1954 in Parkersburg, WV, a son of the late Ira Jones Jr. and Opal Lucille Jones.
He graduated from Parkersburg High School in 1973. He attended First Church of Nazarene. He retired from GE Data Center after many years of service. He enjoyed dirt track, NASCAR, even participating in the NASCAR experience, and spending time with his family.
Those left behind to cherish his memory include his wife, Diana “Cunningham” Jones; sons, Joseph Powell, Lloyd Jones, and Joshua Jones; grandchildren, Tashia, Brady, Peyton, Arya, and Kaylee ; great-grandchildren, Kohen and Maci, sisters, Mary Gordon and Helen Null.
Funeral services will be at 1P.M. Friday April 4, 2025 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. at the funeral home.
