Larry Michael Sams, of Knights Fork departed this life at home to be with Jesus. He retired from Dupont. He is preceded in death by both parents, Mildred and Robert Sams, six sisters and five brothers. He is survived by wife, Carolyn Sams, 2 daughters; Robin (Dave) Sams of Vincent, OH, Michelle (Rocky) Gray of Parkersburg, 3 grandchildren; Breann Sams of Fayetteville, NC, Michael Sams attending Ohio University, Carley Gray of Parkersburg and best friend Dean Schwartz of Vienna, many nieces and nephews, sister in law, Helen Sams and brother in law Neil Nichols.
Visitation will be Monday, September 14, 2015 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg. Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Terry Varner and Tom Butterfield officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Memory Gardens.
