He was born March 2 1947, a son of the late Paul Farr and Ernestine Allen Farr.
Larry was a Methodist by faith. He served in Vietnam in 1966 and 1967 and came back and finished high school at Parkersburg South in 1969. He retired from IBEW local P125 in Martin, TN. He had a passion for antique cars and enjoyed going to car shows. Larry enjoyed traveling, whether on land or on cruises. He wanted to see as much as the beautiful world as he could. He enjoyed leaving for Florida every fall. He was a member of VFW Post 1212, DAV, Moose Lodge, Eagles, AMVETS, and American Legion Post 15. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Those left behind to cherish his memory include his sons, Robert (Jan) Farr of Knoxville, TN, Jonathan (Kim) Farr of Parkersburg, WV; daughter, Beverly and Dave (fiancé) Minear of Parkersburg, WV; grandchildren, Josh Runnion, Joe Runnion, Ashley Minear, Nicole Minear, Stephen Alexander, Ian Farr; great-grandchildren, MiKayla, Mason, Haddleigh, Ayden and Wyatt.
In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by his wife, Deloris Ann Farr; brother, Allen Farr and sister, Linda Gay Metz.
Funeral services will be 1 P.M. June 4, 2024 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Mike Kidd officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. at the funeral home.
