Kathy was born on June 21, 1949 in Parkersburg, WV to Arthur "Peanut" and Phyllis J. (Beaver) Golden. She was a graduate of Parkersburg High School and retired from Eagle Pointe.
Her hobbies included crossword puzzles, reading and spending time with her family and friends.
Surviving are her children, Marc (Angie) Kirby of Johnson City, TN, Scott (Shawn) Kirby of Waverly, WV, Ryan (Matt) Walton of Jacksonville, NC, Nathan (Nichole) Kirby of Charleston, WV and Leslie (Ron) Nickerson of Wheeling, WV, 11 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, brother Butch (Patti) Golden of Parkersburg, WV and sister Nancy (Roger) Hall of Boaz, WV.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ronald C. Kirby and second husband Emerson C. Wharton.
