Kathleen McCord, 88, of Parkersburg, WV, passed away July 17, 2020 peacefully at her residence with her family by her side. She was born April 25, 1932 in Wood County, the daughter of the late Rev. Everett Clegg and Thelma (Sigler) Clegg.
Kathleen was employed as cook with DeSales Heights Academy for several years. She was a member of the Torch United Methodist Church where she also volunteered for the food pantry.
She is survived by her children, Kay (Sal) Piscitelli of Delaware, Mike McCord of Belleville, Dan (Nancy) McCord, and Anita Davis of Parkersburg, a sister, Edna Forrider, of Coolville, OH, also several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Glen McCord, son, John McCord, granddaughter Melissa McCord, sisters, Virginia Tice, and Georgie Lowe, brothers, Paul Bob and Jim Clegg.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, July, 21, 2020. Visitation will be 12:00 to 1:00 pm. before the service. Officiating the service will be Hollie Denzil Null at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
Burial will take place following the funeral service at Sunset Memory Gardens.
