She was born April 30, 1927, in Parkersburg, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Harvey and Lillian Sheets Reynolds.
Dollie was a devout Christian and a member of 10th Ave Church of God. She loved to write and travel, and enjoyed singing hymns and listening to music. Above all else, she loved God and her family.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her children, Bruce Patterson (Janice), Sandra Wilson, Karen Laurnoff (Steve), Tammie Patterson, and Rhonda Patterson; grandchildren, Steve Wilson, Angel Stinespring, Stephanie Doll, Mark Laurnoff, Amanda Jenkins, Amber Jenkins, and Timmy Jenkins; great-grandchildren, Steven Wilson, Jr., Nikki Lyster, Tasha Harrison, Aliyah Jenkins, Amia Jenkins, Adajah Jenkins, Javian Jenkins, Isaac Jenkins, Isaiah Jenkins, Christian Jenkins, Adian Jenkins, Ethan Jenkins, and Navaeh Jenkins; four great-great-granddaughters; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Dollie was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Coy Patterson; her son, Herbert Patterson, Jr.; her daughters, Darlene Patterson and Terri Jenkins; her brothers, Chester Reynolds, Virgil Reynolds, Earl Reynolds, Carl Reynolds, Ralph “Bud” Reynolds, and Babe Reynolds; and sisters, Gladys Sims, Virginia Fairbanks Boso, Florida “Dorty” Sholes, and Inis Reynolds.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Entombment to follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday, December 5, 2022, at the funeral home, and one hour prior to the funeral service on Tuesday.
