Dennis E. Allen

He was born December 26, 1946 in Parkersburg, WV, a son to the late Orris Allen and Mary Belle Lamp Allen.

Dennis was a devoted Christian. He retired from Dupont after 37 years of service. He was a genuine adventurous outdoorsman who loved to fish, camp, and travel. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, he will be deeply missed.

Those left behind to cherish his memory include his daughter, Tammie (Scott) Marks of Washington, WV; brothers, Jim Allen of Parkersburg, Gary (Diane) Allen of Parkersburg, Joe (Pam) Allen of Vienna; sister, Becky (Ralph) Henke of Vienna; grandchildren, Jennifer (Brandon) Tallman, Sean Marks; five great grandchildren; and several special nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Linda Allen; sisters, Patty, Bonnie, and Cindy.

The family would like to give a special thanks to The Arbors for their love and care for Dennis during his final days.

Funeral services will be 11 A.M. Tuesday April 30, 2024 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Yoke officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 5 P.M to 7 P.M. Monday April 29, 2024 at the funeral home.
