Dale C Park

He was born May 9, 1934, in Parkersburg, WV, a son of the late Claud D. Park and Zanna McLain Park.

Dale graduated from Parkersburg High School in 1952. He then went on to work for Monongahela Power for over 40 years. He was a Lineman and eventually became a Foreman. He was of the Methodist faith and a member of Murphytown United Methodist Church. He owned Reese’s Country Store and had many customers he considered friends who knew him as “Pops.” He loved fishing, gardening and cooking. Dale will be deeply missed, but his memory will remain in the hearts of his family and friends.

Those left behind to cherish his memory include his son, Roger (Gail) Park of Waverly, WV; daughters, Cheryl (Dennis) Duell of Marietta, OH; Kay (Brad) Gandee of Davisville, WV; sister, Glenna Low of Parkersburg, WV; grandchildren, Jody (John), Caitlyn, Amy, Kortni (Paul), Paul (Sarah), Heather (Randy), Kimberly (Alan); great-grandchildren, Zanna, Raina, Brian, Tyler, Elle, Arthur, Hudson, Emma, Evan, Payton, Ellie, Drew, Wes, Harry and Lily.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his beautiful wife, Betty Park; brothers, Carl Park, David Park, Russell Park, Fred Park, Laurence Park, sisters; Roxie Canon and Dorothy Mick.

Services will be Thursday, March 20, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg.

Burial will follow in the Sunset Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 20, 2025, from 12 to 2 pm at the funeral.
