Carolyn June Davis

She was born April 28, 1938 in Parkersburg, WV, a daughter of the late Dale Stilgenbauer and Oneida Burdette Stilgenbauer.

Carolyn followed Jesus as best she knew how, and was absolutely devoted to her Christian faith. At an early age, she professed her life to Christ and was baptized November 29, 1959 and became a member of Camden Avenue Church of Christ, where she remained a faithful member until her death. She worked for GC Murphy’s for many years. She treasured time spent with her family and will be truly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Those left behind to cherish her memory include her husband of 65 years, William F. Davis; son, Wm. Patrick (Debra Lynn Venham) Davis of Belpre, OH; daughter, Linda (Stephen) Gray of Parkersburg, WV; sister, Anne Owens of Parkersburg, WV; grandchildren, Josh (Brittany) Gray, Sarah (Bret) Wilcoxen, Dillon Davis, Hannah (Aaron) Anderson, Patrick W. Davis; six great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Jack Stilgenbauer , Jim Stilgenbauer; daughter-in-law, Christina Davis.

Funeral services will be 1 P.M. Wednesday September 18, 2024 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Doug Wells officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. at the funeral home.
