She was born September 6, 1929 in Parkersburg, WV, a daughter of the late Thomas Grim and Sylvia Cheuvront.
Carmen was employed by Vitro Agate for over 35 years. Her faith was an important part of her life, she attended Mt Moriah United Methodist Church and Kites Run United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading, camping, and flowers. She had a deep love for animals of all kinds, especially dogs, cats, and birds. She enjoyed music and was a huge fan of The Gaither’s. She loved nothing more than surrounding herself by loved ones. Her family, whom she loved fiercely, would all agree without a doubt, Carmen was truly the glue that held us all together, offering strength, love, and support through every season of life.
Those left behind to cherish her memory include her sons, Michael (Marty) Queen, Thomas (Lori) Queen; daughter, June (Larry) Boswell; brother, Vance Grimm; sisters, Janet Davis, Carolyn (Kenny) Guinn; grandchildren, Kimberly (Michael) Evans, Michael Jones, Conan (Karen) Queen, Mindy Queen, Alice (Jeff) Storz, Sylvia (Joe) Owens, Rebecca Queen, Jenny Kotorski, Misty (Shaun) Miller, Shannon Boswell, Jason Boswell; seventeen great- grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren; faithful companion dog, Willow, and many loved ones who will dearly miss her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Queen and brother, Harold Grimm; and dogs, Joey and JoJo.
Funeral services will be 1 P.M. Wednesday April 23, 2025 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 4 P.M. to 7 P.M. Tuesday April 22, 2025 at the funeral home.
