He was born Oct. 19, 1926, in Parkersburg, WV, a son to the late Clyde and Ida Virginia Yarnell. He was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local Union 565.
He is survived by his son, Carl W. “Billy” Yarnell, Jr. and his wife, Melanie, of Williamstown; two grandchildren, Brian Yarnell and his wife, Jill, of Marietta, OH and Amy Keiser and her husband, Nick, of Parkersburg; eight Great-grandchildren; one brother, Gary Yarnell and his wife, Bernadine, of Parkersburg; and one sister, Betty Jackson of Parkersburg.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Ethel Shears Yarnell and one brother, Clyde Yarnell.
Services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Pastor Eric Nielson officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be Tuesday, from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
