To Meredith, Don and Fred, Today (July 21,  2020) was the 100th anniversary of our mother's birth.  In preparation,  Lizzie and I were pouring through the family history our mom wrote to put together a Shutterfly remembrance book. So, what does this have to do with your mom?  We both kept thinking of and talking about Yvonne Moon--how she kept showing up at important moments in our lives.  I think about how she tried to stop me from the disaster that was my first marriage.  She was right!  Lizzie remembers how encouraging she was to her with her piano playing and how she gracefully welcomed her (as a teenager) to take on the role of pianist at the church.  The last time we saw her was at our mother's 80th birthday in July of 2000 (pictured below).  Liz and I were on the phone this morning and decided it was high time we tried to locate her and thank her for all the ways she made a difference in her lives.   We were so sad to find her obituary instead.  I hope she knew how much we loved her.  I know how much she loved all of you!
