I CAN'T TELL YOU HOW FORTUNATE I AM TO HAVE WORKED WITH YOUR DAD.  I HAVE A TENDENCY TO QUITE OFTEN JUDGE PEOPLE BY THEIR WORK ETHIC.  VIC WAS A WORKER.   NO MATTER HOW SEVERE THE STORM, OR HOW COMPLICATED THE PROBLEM,  HE ALWAYS ATTACKED IT WITH THE SAME SENSE OF CALM, NEVER  OVER EXCITED, HE JUST KEPT ON MOVING FORWARD UNTIL ALL WAS TAKEN CARE OF.    
THERE IS VERY SELDOM A DAY GOES BY THAT I DON'T STOP AND THINK OF VIC, AND IT ALWAYS SEEMS TO BRING A SMILE OUT.

Vic was a very special person and will truly be missed.  He and I communicated mostly by telephone, fax  or radio regarding his service orders and there was never any doubt, if you sent something out to Vic, he would get it handled. Vic was always fair in his dealings with customers and fellow employees. He was always kind to me and could get me smiling just looking at the smile on his face. May God Bless and keep you all. My condolences to the family.  I always liked working with Vic, typically long days in Salome with motor, transformer, regulator and capacitor problems.  He was one who never shied away from work.  Whatever was needed, he would do.  Vic had the answers , but would lead us to the solution.  Nice guy, he was.

I met Vic our senior year. he played football with us. He was awarded the "Most Improved Player" that year. We kept in touch after about 15 years, when he was in Klamith Falls, then later when I was doing our 30th reunion. He always seemed amased that I remembered him and I always tried to get him to come to our Class reunions but he never made and I always told his classmates what I knew about him and we always missed him and we will now remember him at each reunion on our Classmates that have moved on rollcall.

It's never easy to lose a friend, but the passing of a friend, brother and old "pard" like Vic leaves me with a sad heart and feeling a great loss.  Vic and I worked as pole partners for Pacific Power on construction for 4 years, where we worked, played and  lived together day after day.  He was always a meticulous mechanic, a great pilot, and a damned good lineman.  I always valued his intellect and great sense of humor.  We flew a lot of miles, drank many gallons of beer and whiskey, played hours of pinocle and cribbage, and built many miles of line.  I'll miss not being able to visit him and enjoy staying at his place at Salome, reliving the good old days over a cold one.  Cord, Casey, and Cara, you kids have my sympathy and I want you to know this world was made a better place for your dad being here.

Vic, rest in peace brother. I worked with Vic in Medford, Oregon and we had lots of good times together. We spent hours at the local watering hole going over our experiences in Viet Nam and how to fix the worlds problems. Made a few sight seeing trips with him in his plane and I know how he loved to fly.
My deepest regrets to his family, he will be missed by all.

I will truley miss Vic.  I've only known him for a short time thru APS.  He always had a big smile on his face when he stopped by the office because he knew that we would trade of stories or jokes.  I am proud to have met Vic,God Bless.  My deepest sympathy go out to his family and to his friends.

Vic was a very good friend to my dad, Tom Robinson, of Salome. Vic would stop by to say hi and dad on occasion had the honor of "dog watching" when Vic had to attend to things out of town. Our hearts go out to you and your family - remember though if the dog needs watching - dad would be happy to continue doing that for Vic. Our prayers are with you.  Tom's girls

I have so many wonderful and fond memories of Vic. One of the most memorable being, him walking me down the aisle on my wedding day since my father was unable to make the trip from England. It meant so very much.

Another was the first day I met him. He took us hunting for morel mushrooms which was a very new experience for me and if it weren't for Vic discretely guiding me to each mushroom after me failing to notice so many, I would have had an empty basket.  As the day went on it became obvious that I'd only found so many because of his help. I did call him on it that evening and all he could do was give me one of those very cheeky and memorable grins.    

A more recent and fond memory was a couple of Christmas ago, when Portland was snowed in.  His son, Cord, my husband, braved driving to work while Vic stayed at home with me and his granddaughter, Siena.  I learned more about Vic and his life, his experiences and his many accomplishments than I had ever known before.  He was amazing, he had done so much, built so much, and had an integrity and work ethic that few I know possess.  We shared many laughs and many cups of coffee with just a drop or two of whiskey that day. Vic was always so warm, so funny and so very easy to talk to.

I am thankful to him for the way he welcomed me as his daughter-in-law and from the beginning made me feel a part of his family. 

Vic, and especially his cheeky grin when he teased me will never be forgotten.

You will be so missed and you will always be so truly loved.

Vic was a top notch guy.  He was always professional in his approach to his work and was a great and valued co-worker.

Sometimes he would arrive from Salome in the Parker office, leave his paperwork and disappear back to his job in the field without any of us knowing he had even been in the office. AH HA, Vic the elusive serviceman struck again!!!!  Vic never wasted time and was completely willing always to do whatever it took to get the job done.  

His work ethic was among the highest I have ever seen. And beneath his sometimes gruff exterior there lurked the soft heart of a very compassionate man.  He didn't take kindly to those who would try to cheat the system, but he was all about helping those in true need, and he did that many times.

I'll remember with fondness, his gregarious laugh and huge smile that could light up a room. I enjoyed the brief conversations we shared about his early years when he spoke about learning to fly a plane before he learned to drive a car.....I found that fascinating. He was very private, but when drawn out, would speak very lovingly about his children and family.

I feel very honored to have known him, to have laughed with him and to have worked with him at APS. To his family, please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers and I hope that all the wonderful, warm memories you have of him will sustain you through this difficult time of your loss and forever after.

I retired from APS, Parker Office in December, 2008.  I truly enjoyed the many years I worked with him, Vic was really a real class act!!!

Vic was quite the guy; he never spent much time in the APS office, in and out sometimes without even knowing he was there.  He did share a few stories about going to school in Needles and flying a plane to get to school. He worked hard at work and worked hard after work putting up fences or tearing them down. I knew Vic for 44 years, he was my sister's husband for 25 years and the father of my niece and nephews. He was a wonderful playmate in the 60's. We played a lot of pinochle. He tried to teach us ( Niel, Doug and I) to surf, now that was funny! He taught us to free-air dive and we spent a lot of time at the beach, diving for abs, lobster (bugs he called them) and spear-gunning fish.  We always would stop for dognuts (donuts). And we all loved fast cars. I really liked his chuckle and smile.  I will greatly miss him. But I sure do have a ton of good memories.  I love you, Vic.

My prayers go out to the family of Vic, I only knew Vic for a short time I met him at his sister Danna home in King man AZ. It was like I had known him for years. I will miss him very much his voice talking over dinner about his work, he was a wonderful person and a good friend.

I only knew Vic for a short time period starting in March of this year.
Vic had very strong work ethics and knew his job well.
He worked hard restoring power to his customers and all of his customers appreciated his dedication and support.
Vic will be missed by his peers, customers and friends.

I remember the first time I met Vic... it was the day that I married his son, Casey.  I was so nervous.  There I was, pregnant with his grandchild and he was there to represent Casey's family.  I was wrong to be worried, because he was so wonderful.  I was so grateful that he could be there that day for Casey.  

Vic's smile could light up a room.  He never judged.  He was always so accomodating and loving to me.  I appreciated that so much.  Everytime I spoke to him on the phone, he would end the call with, "I love you."  

Vic was a free spirit.  I want my children to learn from him the beauty of living every day to the fullest.  The beauty of having dreams and fulfilling them.  That was the beauty of Vic.  He will be missed and loved by us all.

I remember when Vic moved to Needles and went to school with us.  He was this very cute boy who played football and charmed us girls.  I can picture him exactly after all these years. from the Louis Perea family during our time working with APS I spent many hours and sometime days during storm seasons. while working along side Vic if you did not let him know it was time to go home he would keep going what a wonderful person to be around and work with. Vic will be missed in the La Paz family of employees we depended on his knowledge and work ethic's. I always said do not tell Vic what to do just let Vic do what he does best. Dear Cord, Casey and Cara,  Some months ago, I had the pleasure of speaking with Vic by phone.  Although it has been years since we had spoken, Vic sounded wonderful....His voice had not changed, and he had  the same endearing sense of humor....He spoke with great pride about his family.  He is so very proud of you!  And Vic leaves a beautiful legacy in his children.

Dear Danna,  I know how close you were with Vic, and you were always there for him.  You are such a nurturer keeping the family connected.

 Dear Joe,  Vic loved you, and he knew in his heart how much you reciprocated that love.  

Please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.  We share your loss and hope the love of family and friends will help to ease the pain.
