Roberta Christine Wagner, 69, passed away peacefully surrounded by her children Daniel Wagner and Robin Wilkerson. Born in Dover, Ohio on March 2, 1952 to Robert “Swiss” and Dorothy Rothacher. Chris was the oldest of five children and from day one, the boss. Chris graduated from St Joseph High School in 1970 and attended the Mercy School of Nursing.
Chris, Chrissy, Nurse Chis, whatever you knew her as, was a woman of many talents. From holiday decorating, to charcuterie boards, to being the town’s nurse, she did everything with her whole heart. The best Mom in the world, turned into the most amazing Grandma/Gigi. It was no secret that her three boys (Riot, Rebel, and Tag) were her world. On Sunday’s, you could find ‘Grandma Chrissy’ and the twins around town on their lunch dates, at golf lessons, and if you were lucky enough strolling the aisles of Hobby Lobby. In December of 2020, after 48 years of nursing, Chis retired to be a full time Gigi/Nanny to “her baby”, Tag. Tag and his Gigi were two peas in a pod. When the two of them were together, nothing else mattered. In July of 2021, Chrissy finally got her little girl, Rory Kate. Riot, Rebel, Tag, and Rory will be reminded everyday how special their Grandma/Gigi was.
Chris was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend. She is proceeded in death by her husband Jack, father ‘Swiss’, mother Dorothy, and brothers Scotty and Mickey. Chrissy is survived by her son Daniel (Dannielle), daughter Robin (Clancy), her nieces that she helped raise Charlotte (John), Kady, and Annie, her sister Suzy, her brother Jody, and her nephew Anthony. She is also survived by and most proud of, her grandchildren: Jurni, Savana, Riot, Rebel, Tag, and Rory.
Chrissy will be greatly missed by all. She will forever be the town of Parker’s nurse and will be taking care of all of us from above. A celebration of life will be held on October 2, 2021 at the VFW (516 S Hopi Ave) beginning at 5pm. All are welcome to come celebrate the life of a wonderful woman.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to begin the ‘Nurse Chris Scholarship Fund.’
