Ray Dowdy Jr.

He was preceded in death by his parents Mary Ellen and Ray Dowdy Sr. He is survived by his sister and her husband Gayle Miller (Charles), and his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. David Dowdy and his daughter Danielle Dowdy, and her children Charlie and Shea Korionoff. Brian Dowdy (TyAnn) and their kids Bryson, Brock, Talyssa, Terryka, and Tannyka. Megan Matthews (Randon) and their kids Brookyn, Tayli, Bryle, Dreylon, Ryker, Dawson, and Kason. Kyle Dowdy (Erin) and their kids Kyesun, Kayben, and Konner Dowdy. Delaina Price (Braden) and their kids Beckett, Nixon, and Carter Price.

He was born to Mary Ellen Miller and Ray Dowdy Sr on July 13, 1947 in Kingman Arizona. He graduated from NAU and also served in the military. He dedicated many years of service to the education system as a teacher, coach, and administrator. He even went on to substitute teach after he retired.

He will be remembered by his kids as having a way of making you smile when you were around him his goofiness endearing, the nicknames he gave, his love of sports, and supporting his own son's teams who followed in his footsteps with coaching and teaching.
