I remember how she was my mom’s best friend.  We lived next door to the Dowdy’s in Phoenix, which is where I believe mom and Mary Ellen got so close.  No matter how long they had been apart, their conversation would pick right up with lots of laughter.  I remember Mary Ellen’s warmth and contagious laughter.

I remember  Grandma's rosie red cheeks and her makeup  to cover them. I remember  her pulling you in cupping your cheeks to give you a kiss. I remember  her laugh..I  think my siblings have the exact same one. I remember  going to her house and her having paper dolls and pink bubblegum for me. I remember  her and Grandpa loving swap meets. I remember  her and Grandpa's house in Prescott that I  loved. I remember her and Grandpa wanting to see our report cards and giving us $1 for every A, we have passed a similar  tradition down to our kids. I loved when I  got to see them when we were visiting  Dad. I love you Grandma-give Grandpa a hug for me, glad you get to be back together💞
