I will always remember the first home you and Sharon purchased in Wausau.  I marveled at your great ideas and design.  It is so sad you were taken to soon.  May you rest in peace.  May God hold Sharon and your family in his arms.

So sorry to hear of Bernie's passing.  As a long time respected craftsman of our contractor Karl Ekman, Bernie did all of the cabinetry working with our designer and architect, no small task.  He always was calm, a problem solver and source of excellent information and ideas.  I personally talked with Bernie about and worked through many of the plans and it was always a pleasure.

As a custom home builder I had the priviledge to do projects with Bernie Wood for nearly two decades. His design talent and product knowledge were always top notch, as were the amazing cabinetry he helped create.  We loved Bernie not only as a professional, but also because of his positive and friendly personality. He and I retired just weeks apart and talked about our future plans. It was with a very heavy heart I learned about Bernie’s passing. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his wife and family.

My deepest condolences to Bernie's family and close friends at this time of great loss.  I wish you peace and comfort.

Bernie was an integral part of our Sterling Hasey home renovation well over a decade ago, and again on our new Sterling Hasey home completed in early 2020.  These projects were blessed by his wisdom, experience, professionalism, dedication to perfection, creativity, and cheerful countenance.   He was a masterful team player,  always working to understand the the finish carpenter's requests, my design goals, incorporating every appliance spec and cabinetry detail, and linking all this back to the Featherstone team for proper execution.  He was the secret sauce who made exceptional outcomes a reality.   Most importantly, Bernie was kind and it was a joy to be in his presence.  He will be missed far-and-wide.  

I worked with Bernie at Featherstone. He always enjoyed keeping up with how my three children were doing. He kept me posted on his yard and house updates, and more recently, your travels. He always had concern for me when I was struggling. The news of his passing has hit all of us at Featherstone very hard. Sharon, please know you are in my prayers for peace and understanding at this very difficult time. I know this unexpected journey forward will be lonely and dark at times, but hold on to the beautiful memories and adventures you two shared.
