Honey Grove, Texas - Wesley Carl Wehrmann, an adored son and dear friend, peacefully journeyed to rest with his Lord on December 15, 2023, at the age of 69. Born in Dallas, Texas on June 11, 1954, to Norma and Wesley D. Wehrmann, Wesley's life was a testament to love, kindness, joy, and resilience.
Wesley was a member of the Dial community, leaving a mark on the hearts of all who knew him. A devoted son, he was preceded in death by his parents and paternal uncle, David Wehrmann. He is survived by Caleb and Megan Tindel, of Dial, their children, Harper & Graham, and his church family.
Wesley was a man of unwavering faith, finding strength and purpose in his relationship with the Lord. He was baptized on May 3, 1970, at Dial Baptist Church, and has been a member since. His spiritual journey was central to his identity, shaping the way he lived and interacted with those around him.
Though a private individual, Wesley touched the lives of the one blessed enough to have known him with his genuine kindness and generosity. An avid Star Trek fan, some of his favorite times were spent at “the picture show” with a bag of popcorn or cheering on his favorite Dallas Cowboys in front of the radio. A proud Honey Grove Warrior, Wesley spent each Saturday morning of Fall rehashing the game from the previous night. His amazing memory allowed him to know, by heart, the names and phone numbers of countless individuals as well as memorized scripture, dates of important events, and he always knew where to find whatever he was searching for. Wesley spent much of his life working on the upkeep and improvement of his properties. He had a passion for agriculture and wanted this knowledge to be passed along and continued through those in his community. Wesley would put each new minister through the wringer by questioning them on their knowledge of the scriptures. He always wore a smile and his laughter filled the room.
Wesley's memory will forever be cherished by those closest to him; let us remember the joy with which he lived each day and the love he so freely gave. Wesley’s ultimate goal was to meet his Lord he so dearly loved. May his memory live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
A memorial service to celebrate Wesley Carl Wehrmann's life will be held at 10:00am on December 22, 2023 at Dial Baptist Church in Dial, Texas. In lieu of flowers it is requested that memorials be made to Dial Baptist Church.
Cremation was under the care and direction of Bright-Holland Funeral Home.
