Vera Ann Wilson

Vera Ann Wilson, 66, of Pattonville, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2017, at Baylor-Scott & White Medical Center in Dallas. Cremation was entrusted to Bright-Holland Funeral Home. A family directed memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 pm, Sunday, November 5, 2017, at Immanuel Baptist Church, 1771 Bonham Street, Paris, Texas 75460. Vera, the daughter of Frank & Ruby Bearden Stefka, was born Nov. 19, 1950, in Los Angeles, CA. She graduated from South Gate High School in South Gate, CA. She used her love of taking care of others in her career with home health care working for King’s Home Health, Virgie Pine’s Home Health as well as other home health agencies. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church where her love of children was seen in her teaching of Sunday school in the pre-school and kindergarten departments. Vera could often be found spoiling her grandchildren by taking them to get ice cream and other frozen treats around town and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Survivors include her husband, Wesley Wilson, three children; Michael Barber, Michelle Anderson & husband Jason and Chaz Wilson & wife Highland, a step-daughter, Brittany Wilson, twelve grandchildren, a sister, Barbara Goodall & husband Newell, mother-in-law, Betty D. Wilson, brother-in-law, Keith Wilson, sisters-in-law, Becky Wells and Debbie Moss, along with numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
