Terry Lynn Townsend

Terry Lynn Townsend, 59, of Direct, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2015, at his home. The family will receive friends at Mr. Townsend’s home 17842 FM 79, Sumner, on Friday, September 4th, from 4 – 7 p.m. Cremation was under the care and direction of Bright-Holland Funeral Home. Terry, the son of Byron & Betsy Pridemore Townsend, was born March 17, 1956, in Paris. He graduated from North Lamar High School. His career with Earthgrains and then Sara Lee spanned 25 years before his retirement. Terry was an avid fisherman & hunter and loved the outdoors. He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Robert Townsend. Survivors include three children, Corey Townsend of Paris, Bailey Townsend of Direct and Maggie Townsend of Paris, the mother of his children & his best friend, Carolyn Townsend, his mother, Betsy Townsend of Direct, one granddaughter, Rozlynn Townsend and his brother, Greg Townsend of Paris. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Texas Oncology – Paris, 3550 N. E. Loop 286, Paris, TX 75460.
