Sue Shelton, 80, of Pattonville, passed away Friday, October 23, 2015, at her home, surrounded by her family. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 am, Monday, October 26, 2015 at Bright-Holland Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. L.C. Stout officiating. Burial will be made in Highland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-6 pm, Sunday at the funeral home. Sue was born July 3, 1935 in Paris to Nathan Coco and Viola Godfrey Coco. She graduated from West Lamar High School and also attended Paris Junior College. Sue married David Shelton on July 19, 1958, in Lamar County, building over 57 years of family and memories. She worked for more than 30 years as a secretary in special education through the North Lamar ISD. Sue was a longtime, dedicated member of New Hope Baptist Church. She loved sewing, cooking and she loved her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, John David Shelton and a sister, Lee Ann Romine. Survivors include her husband, David; one daughter, Anne Shelton of Reno; grandsons, Brian Long & wife Jami of Direct and Nathan Shelton of Tulsa, OK; one granddaughter, Ashli Long of Las Vegas, NV; great-grandsons, Andy & Wylie Long of Direct; one brother, Mike Coco & wife Janice of Paris along with numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
