Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13th at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with burial following in Detroit Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 5-7 p.m.
Sheila, the daughter of Weldon Burkett & Rebecca Kyle Burkett, was born Sept. 18, 1960, in Dallas, TX.
She graduated from Grand Prairie High School in 1979. She worked several years at Pots Department Store in Grand Prairie before beginning work at the Design System Group in Grand Prairie.
She was preceded in death by her father, Weldon Burkett, her mother, Rebecca Kyle Miller, her husband, Jimmy Lee Matthews in 2014, a son, James Lee Matthews in 1985, and a sister, Deborah Matthews.
Survivors include a daughter, Mina Krueger (Kenneth), a son, David Matthews (Emilie Manuel), grandchildren, Angel Krueger, Destiny Krueger, Justice Krueger, and KayLee Krueger and two sisters, Donna Sullivan (Wallace) and Gwynn Woolum along with several nieces & nephews and a host of friends.
Casket bearers will be: Kenneth Krueger, Heath Dollins, Randy McClain, Brandon Rosser, Thomas Chambers, and Jessie Cannon.
