Ruth (Simpson) Cass

Ruth Simpson Cass, 88, of Arthur City, passed away Monday, September 30, 2024, at Legend Healthcare Paris. Graveside services for 10:00 am, Friday, October 4, 2024, at Red Hill Cemetery with Reverend Gregory Chambers officiating. The family will receive friends at the cemetery thirty minutes prior to the service. Bright-Holland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Ruth the daughter of Willie and Ida Bell Sutton Simpson, was born October 19, 1935, in Arthur City. She was a homemaker and served on the PTA at Chicota while her children were small. Ruth also loved to sew and play bingo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband,Gene, of 70 years, a grandson Dusty Jones and a great granddaughter Violet Jean Butler.

Survivors include two sons, Larry Cass and Cindy of Paris and Timothy Cass of Arthur City; one daughter, Debra Sieferman of Indiana; grandchildren Michael Cass and wife Shannon, Mathew Cass and wife Staci, Charrie Sieferman, Carrie Sieferman, Zachory Sieferman, Kindel Cass and Cameron Cass; great grandchildren Makina, Cora, Zoee, Jett, Miles, Brody, Cadynce, Lincoln, Paisley, Holden, Noah, Haley and Katie; a granddaughter-in-law Brianna Jones; sisters, Miriam Simpson, Wanda Edelhouser, Joy Smith and Kay S. Powers along with numerous nieces and nephews.
