Mildred Eloise Alford, affectionately known as Millie, graced this world on October 29, 1930, in Danville, Arkansas, where she was known as “Tudor”. Millie was the second of four children born to Eual David Parsons and Lallie Mae Chism. She peacefully departed this life on November 23, 2023, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 93. Millie was predeceased by her parents, Eual D. Parsons and Lillie Mae Chism Parsons Frances, her step-father, Simon Francis, a daughter, Jo Ann, and three siblings, Betty Jo, John Ed, and Jessie. Millie is survived by her daughters Shirley and Brenda and her sons James Jr., Johnny, 10 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren who were the center of her universe, 12 siblings who live in Arkansas, William Lee, Jeanette, Joyce, Cheryl, Linda, Marie, Annie Mae, Doris Seven, Susie, Minnie Mae, Marylee, and Chris. Millie's devotion to her family was unwavering, and she found joy in the simple moments spent together, creating a lifetime of cherished memories. Her love and guidance will forever be a guiding light for those she leaves behind. Millie's warmth extended beyond her immediate family, touching the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her kindness, compassion, and wild spirit endeared her to friends and neighbors alike. Millie's radiant smile and positive outlook on life were infectious, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she encountered. A lover of animals, Millie had a special bond with her beloved dog Thumper, who brought her immeasurable joy and companionship. Their connection was a testament to the tender-hearted nature that defined Millie's character. As we mourn the loss of Millie, let us also celebrate the incredible life she led and the profound impact she had on those around her. Her memory will forever be etched in our hearts, and her wild spirit will continue to inspire us to live with kindness, gratitude, and love. A graveside service to honor Mildred Eloise Alford's life will be held on Saturday, Dec. 16, 2023 at Knights of Honor Cemetery in Blossom, TX under the direction of Bright-Holland Funeral Home. May she rest in eternal peace, and may her legacy of love and compassion live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
