Lillian Ann Scott

Lillian was born to Alton and Vernice Marshall LaRue on May 11th, 1935 in Honey Grove, TX.

Lillian married Dwight Scott on October 25th, 1953 and had three children. Lillian is proceeded in death by her husband, Dwight Scott, her mother and father, and her 5 siblings, Doris, Errol, Norma, James, and Peggy LaRue. She is survived by her three children, Kevin Scott of Honey Grove, Leanne Jackson (Andy) of Paris, and Dana Griffith (Marty) of Honey Grove.

Grandchildren: Magen Smith, Ashley Odom, Brandon Griffith, Chase Scott, and Tony Griffith.

Great grandchildren: Ayden Price, Avery Price, Mathew Griffith, Asher Price, Blaire Odom, Gaitz Odom, Avonlea Price, and Maelie Griffith, along with her special friend, Larry Hooker. Special thanks to Spring Lake Assisted Living & Memory Care Center.

In addition to being a dedicated and loving mother, Lillian also loved playing bridge, her schnauzers, and spending time with her family and friends. Lillian was the secretary for Honey Grove Elementary for 35 years. She was a member of FBC Honey Grove and East Paris Baptist Church.

Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled memorial services for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2023, at First Baptist Church of Honey Grove, 410 Hickory Street, Honey Grove, TX 75446, with Dr. Danny Moody officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
