Kay Anita Gray, 77, of Powderly, Texas passed away Thursday, July 28, 2016 at Stillhouse Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2nd, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Rev. Eric Moore and Rev. Steve Gunter officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 – 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Mrs. Gray, the daughter of Doyal & Ruby Green Dunlap, was born March 7, 1939, in Long Beach, CA. At the age of two her family moved to Hot Spring County, AR, where she grew up. Kay attended school at Poyen, AR. She, her husband, Steve, and their family moved to Paris, Texas in 1967. Here she owned and operated a wedding catering business. She was a longtime, faithful member of Immanuel Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Steve, whom she married on May 27, 1959, building 57 years of family and memories, three children, Kirk Gray & wife Heather of Ft. Worth, Karen Gray of Paris and Lisa Melot of Blossom, grandchildren, Halie Melot, Jesse Melot, Sabrina Melot, Lacey Doss and Summer Rose, a sister, Patricia Brandon of Malvern, AR, a niece, Debbie Brandon, a nephew David Brandon along with a host of friends. Casket bearers will be: William Wood, Greg Skidmore, Craig Bryant, Bill Flanary, Roger Stripland and Ronnie Blair.
