Joe Lee Stout, 83, of Blossom, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2017, at his home. Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 18th, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home. Burial, with military honors, will follow in East Post Oak Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Mr. Stout, the son of Clarence Jesse & Martha Ann Laster Stout, was born June 23, 1933, in Lamar County. He served in the U. S. Air Force as a photographer. He enjoyed the Air Force. Joe was a welder for Andrews in Denton where he retired. He loved fishing, and his hobbies were making knives & woodwork. Joe was a very happy person and loved to joke. He liked dancing and had a good time. Joe was a wonderful husband. He would always help someone in need. He loved Sunday school and enjoyed working in Vacation Bible School. His parents preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Elsie Campsey Stout, whom he married on July 23, 1998, a brother, Jerry Stout & wife Carolyn of Selina, KS, two sons, Ronnie Stout of Springtown and Mike Stout of SC, a daughter, Debbie Kennedy of Springtown, grandchildren, Michelle & husband Roy of Ft. Worth and Crystal of Springtown, a grand-son-in-law, David Bird of Springtown, nine great grandchildren, two step children, Barbara Hunt & husband Roger of Blossom and Rusty Campsey & wife Alicia of Blossom, a step-grandson, Miles Bradford & wife Lori of Elbert, CO, 4 step-great grandchildren and very special friends, David & Shirley Armstrong. The family would like to extend appreciation to Red River Home Care for the attention given their loved one.
