Broke my heart to read of Jeff's passing.  My goodness, I loved to argue with him as much as he loved to argue with me.  He was kind and good as gold. He was loved and still is. I'll miss him. Prayers for all his friends and loved ones. We'll argue again one day, I might even let him think he's right. 

Jeff & I have been friends since long before we ever started elementary school at Central. His family attended church where my grandmother went, which is where I met him at an early age. Our relationship, as his with most everyone was, was very unique. Some days I wanted to choke him or wring his neck, but others, I just wanted to visit with my friend. When we reached Jr High, my family moved from Hopewell to Maxey & his mom Patsy, drove our bus. Of course their house wasn’t on our route until she arrived at home, but there he was....riding our bus & annoying the $@!& out of everyone!! After numerous times of him picking on the smaller kiddos, he made the mistake of picking on my little sister....2 too many times & I had had enough! We had 2 fights in the same yr on the bus. Patsy finally made him move to his assigned bus. 😂 When I moved back to Paris in 2013, there he was...ready to annoy me in person! 🤦🏼‍♀️😂 But all kidding aside....he was my friend & I was his & we knew where we stood with each other, even when he called me an ol hag & gave me a broom to ride & when I called him a cranky crotchety ol fart! RIP my friend....until I see you again!

We've known Jeff since he was in high school with our kids. They all  rode the bus that Patsy drove. He was always funny, when you could understand him. The funniest thing I remember was on a golf course in Houston with Michael, Bill and myself. It's too long to recall here, but ask Michael when you see him.
Jeff will be missed, but he is absence  from the body and face to face with the Lord

We met Jeff in 2004 when he visited the UK.  He stayed with us over the New Year period and celebrated his birthday with a traditional Hogmanay at our local Pub - which he loved.  He was a fantastic guest - funny, interested in everything about our lives, our country and our shared history and threw himself into meeting our friends and enjoying a traditional English Christmas and New Year. As well as trying the hottest curry on the menu, he also tried Stilton cheese (he thought we'd given him mouldy cheese!) pork pie, and got the shock of his life when we had a big family meal - a belated Christmas meal - and we turned the lights out whilst Joe and I brought out the flaming pudding - he wasn't expecting that!  We have so many fond memories of that time.  May he rest in peace.  Sincere condolences to his family and friends.  Joe and Jane

I have some really fond memories of Jeff I met Jeff in the early 2004 I was on holiday having just split from my wife Jeff toke me under his wing and we traveled all over Texas in his big black Ford truck showing me all the sights what a holiday I couldn’t believe it when we drove up a long driveway Jeff explained we were at zz tops ranch unfortunately no one was home I returned the favour when Jeff arrived on my doorstep a few years later never forget how he wonted to try  an Indian currie he had to order the hottest on the menu boy did he sweat 💦 I will miss my pal from over the pond rip big man 

I never met anyone like Jeff and I know I never will again... He was a one of a kind.... Original! You will be missed by me and my family. 


It would be hard to share all the memories we have of you, Jeff.  From the time you were born until all of you graduated from high school, you were part of everything our families did together.  All the summers at Shady Lake, camping in tents and progressing to pop-ups, the cold hole for swimming and the chasing of skunks.  The many community suppers at the Maxey Community Center and VBS at church.  Your Mom getting on you and Jeana for using the boat cover for a trampoline.  
You will be missed.  A special thanks to Brian for all he has done for you and your Dad these past years.  Rest in peace.  The Townsend family   (Sidney, Elaine, David and Jeana)

It was an absolute pleasure to call this man my friend. Jeff was an true treasure on earth. Rest easy my sweet friend. You will be terribly missed. 

Jeff was one of those guys that if you ever needed anything he was there.  A Texan through and through. He made sure I knew I was a Yankee.  What an authentic, genuine person Jeff was for the entire 26 years I knew him.  Prayers for his family and God rest his soul!

We already miss our roadside chats and driveway visits. He was so kind to our little Sage.  He had a such a big heart. He was a great neighbor and we will remember him fondly.  Gone too soon!
