Harvey Carroll Jones, 68, of Paris, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2016, at Paris Regional Medical Center. Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled graveside services, with military rites, for 2:00 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21st, at Evergreen Cemetery with Bro. Patrick Cannon officiating. A formal visitation is not scheduled, however, family and friends may pay their respects and sign the register at the funeral home. Harvey, the son of Thomas Luther & Virginia Brown Jones, was born Feb. 20, 1948, in Hugo, OK. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Thomas Walter Jones (whom he adored), six half-brothers and three sisters. Survivors include one son, Anthony Jones & wife Stacy of Paris, two daughters, Rhonda Rosario & husband Roberto and Jodie Jones all of San Antonio, two sisters, Frances Power and Betty Pope & husband Clifton all of Paris, grandchildren, Katilyn Jones of Cooper, Maverick Jones of Sulphur Springs, and Amelia Garcia of San Antonio, great grandchildren, Ainsley Worden and Wyatt Jones along with several nieces & nephews and a host of friends. Harvey was baptized March 25, 1990, at Lamar Avenue Church of Christ. He read his Bible daily and loved the Lord. He wasn’t able to attend church service for several years because of his health. He served in the U. S. Army for eight years, being stationed a portion of that time in Korea. Harvey was proud to tell about his service to our country. Harvey loved music, played guitar and loved playing dominoes with his son, Anthony, and his grandson, Maverick, before his health failed. Honorary pallbearers will be: Wes Pope, Jeff Pope, David I. Power, Scott Brown and Bobby Bridgers.
