Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled services for 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2nd at Springlake Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowbrook Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the church.
Mr. Pullins, the son of Emmitt Ellis Pullins and Clara Pullins, was born November 1, 1926, in Manchester, TX.
He joined the United States Army at the age of 17. During his military service he was a Military Policeman. Upon his honorable discharge, he worked as a mechanic for several years before beginning a career at Babcock & Wilcox which spanned 25 years before his retirement.
George was a longtime faithful member of Springlake Baptist Church where he had served as janitor of the church and was an R.A. Leader.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mary Pullins, children, Jerry Glen Pullins, James Clovis Pullins, Larry Emmitt Pullins, Terrie Morris, Linda Morris, and Karla Miller, a granddaughter, Peggy Sue Pullins, a grandson, Tony Wilkins, a brother, Steven Pullins, and a sister, Annie Mae Pullins.
Survivors include children, Billy Pullins (Deby), Ronnie Pullins, Michael Pullins (Linda), Aaron Pullins (Starla) and Sherry Moss (Derek), grandchildren, Clay Pullins (Erin), Jeff Day (Sabrina), Michelle Day (Josh Faulkner), Angela Jernigan (Ben), Gidget Cox (Delbert), Amie Johnson (Steven), Alyssa Thoms, Aimee Thoms, Azaria Robinson, Stephanie Pullins, Jonathan Morris, Jalene Morris, Morgan Dudley, Harper Pullins, Dexter McCurry, Toby McCurry, and Eric McClendon, 12 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and two sisters, Dorothy Sullivan and Peggy Shelton along with numerous nieces & nephews and a host of friends.
Casket bearers will be: Billy Pullins, Ronnie Pullins, Michael Pullins, Aaron Pullins, Ben Jernigan, and Jeff Day.
