Ester Dalene Ray, 73, passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones, including her husband and son. She was born on June 2, 1951 in Oklahoma City, and she graduated from Powderly-Reno High School, class of 1969.
Dalene was an animal lover. She loved traveling, including cruises, fishing, was a strong supporter of the LGBTQ+ community, and going out to dinner with family. She always loved helping people in need. She was a Baptist who loved her church friends. She adored her husband David dearly. Dalene was preceded in death by her parents Richard Marvin Arthur, her mother Anna Laura Smith, and her sisters Theresa Smith, Jimmy Kay Miles. She leaves behind her beloved husband David Wayne Ray, one son, Anthony (Frederick) Arthur, two brothers Ricky (Becky) Smith, Michael (Gina) Smith, one sister Tina (Bill) Johnson, cousins Kimberly Kint and Les (Heather) Kint, nephew David (Breanna) Hamdan and numerous other relatives. Pallbearers are Chris Ray, Michael Slider, Andy Will, Shaun Hall, Jeff Daniels, and Tim Duffield.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 27th at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with burial following in Woodland Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, April 25th from 5-6 p.m. and Saturday, April 26th from 5-6 p.m.
