On Saturday, July 15th, 2023, Corporal Cody R. Henry, aka Rubber Ducky, passed away at the age of 32. Cody was a loving father and son. Cody was born in Paris, Texas and grew up in Marvin, Texas. He went to Prairiland High School where he enjoyed playing football and found his love for the saxophone. After receiving his diploma, he enlisted with The United States Marine Corp where he gained another family and traveled the world serving his country. He was proud of his service and how it impacted his life, but retired to be home with his “born to” family. It was during this time Cody wanted to start his own family, got married and began his own legacy with his daughter, Jane Henry. He traveled the country before settling down back in Paris, TX. Cody almost always had a smile on his face, and he had a gift to make his happiness spread to anyone around him. He never met a stranger, and grew to have so many friends that loved him as their own family. He was a loving person that would literally take his own shirt off and give it to someone that needed it. The world was a better place with him here.
His grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry, Mr. and Mrs. Dobbs and a few aunts and uncles, preceded him in death.
He was survived by his daughter, Jane Henry, his mother and father Susie Dobbs Gibson and Eddie Henry, sisters, Whitnee Dobbs, Brittanee Atwood and Tiffanee Williams and many nieces and nephews. He will truly be missed.
Services, with military honors, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 22nd at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Minister Pamela White officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6 – 7.
