Billy Jim Kilpatrick, 82, of Paris, passed away Sunday, June 25, 2017, at Paris Regional Medical Center. Services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 1st, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Wade White officiating. Burial will follow at Bridges Chapel Cemetery in Titus County. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Mr. Kilpatrick, the son of Jack R. & Vera O. Bridges Kilpatrick, was born Aug. 13, 1934, in Red River County. He served in the U. S. Army being stationed in Germany for two years. Following his military service he had a number of jobs including working at Piggly Wiggly and Humpty Dumpty, drove an armored vehicle, and owned & operated a body shop. His career with Texas Instruments spanned more than twenty years before his retirement. Following retirement from TI he worked as a driver for Toyota of Paris. Billy loved the outdoors, fishing and golfing. He was a huge fan of the Texas Longhorns and the Dallas Cowboys. Survivors include his wife, Eva, sons, Billy Kilpatrick & wife Sharon of Leonard and Michael Kilpartick & wife Tira of Carrollton, grandchildren; Haley Kilpatrick of Dallas, Ethan Kilpatrick of Hawaii, Shellie Jumper of Paris, Wendy Young of Rockwall, Kristi Ratliff of New Braunfels, Bonnie Kilpatrick of McKinney, Stephen Lemay of Augusta, GA and Brian Smith of Austin, nine great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, two sisters, Patsy Robbins of Reno and Faye Latham of Paris, a brother, Sam Kilpatrick of Arkansas along with six nephews, four nieces and a host of friends.
