Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled services for 11:00 a.m. Monday, Nov. 27th at the Petty Baptist Church with Rev. John Brown, Rev. Billy Rose, and Rev. Jerry Clements officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Following the service there will be a meal at the church prior to the procession to Evergreen Cemetery.
Mrs. Glossup was born born March 13, 1930, in Clarksville, Texas and graduated Clarksville High School in 1947. She and her husband, Doug Glossup, were married 54 years eight months. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Rena Bolton, grandchildren, Chad Rose & Chandler Sikes, a son-in-law, Kenneth Martin, brothers, Travis, James, Ray, & Paul Bolton, and a sister Marie Bolton Graham.
Jo is survived by her husband, Doug, children, Mike Rose, Sue Martin, Billy Rose, Joe Bob Rose & wife Connie, and Tab Rose & wife Shawn, 35 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, a special nephew & niece, Ted & Ann James, and a nephew, Paul Wayne Bolton along with a host of friends.
Jo owned a cafe from 1970 to 1982, and was a fabulous cook. She always had cake or pie on counter at home for anyone that came over. Jo loved flowers and gardening and loved to go camping and fishing.
Casket bearers will be: Joshua Nieto, James Harrelson, Coby Rose, Joel Rose, Vance Martin, and Jessie Spears.
