Walter Joseph Faron

June 15, 1933 – April 3, 2020

It is with great sadness that the family of Walter Joseph Faron announces his passing. Wally was a resident of Papillion, Nebraska, and passed away at the age of 86 years old. He was born in Chicago, Illinois and proudly served in the United States Air Force as a Weather Observer Technician.

Wally is survived by his wife LeAnna (Sumner) Faron. Father of Kathy Faron, David (Lori) Faron, Gabrielle (Ron) Davis, Andrew Faron, Cindy (Stan) Munro, Michelle Dahlman, stepchildren Kris (Bert) Garcia, Darla (Ted) Wilderman, Janelle (Susan) Priest and late Amy Sumner Richards.

Grandfather of Sarah (Raymond) Sewer, Emily Faron, Aaron (Katie) Davis, Ashley Davis, Brandon (Cristel) Faron, Leah Faron, Brett (Samantha) Faron, Aleenah Dahlman, Jason Wilderman, Taylor (Josh) Richards, Madeleine, Camille and Isabella Garcia, Alex and Tate Sumner (Sanchez), and Caleb and Lilly Richards.

Great-Grandfather to Kyson Sewer, Maddison and Amy Faron, Liam and Raegan Wilderman, Gamble, Ryka and Sway Sumner, and Boston Sanchez-Balaban.

Son of the late Sofia nee Majkrzak and Michael Faron. Survived by sister Sophie Skarson. He was preceded in death by brothers and sisters Frank Faron, John Faron, Michael Faron, Rosalie Whalen, Chester Faron, Ann Callahan, and Jeanne Atterberry.

He was uncle to many nieces and nephews and best friend of over 30 years to Robert “Bob” Frieze and family.

A private service will be held at a later date.
