Sandra was born in Kansas City, Missouri. She was raised in Omaha, Nebraska and was part of the first graduating class of Bryan High School in 1968. Shortly after graduation, she married Thomas Sladek, the love of her life. They enjoyed 56 wonderful years of marriage. She was a beautiful wife and became an amazing mother to their three children. Sandra ran a home daycare for over 40 years, touching the lives of countless children.
One of Sandra's greatest joys was being a Grandma/Momo. She enjoyed hosting sleepovers, pool parties, movie nights, having whipped cream fights, and watching the grandchildren perform plays. She enjoyed baking, traveling, scuba diving, growing flowers, bird watching, sewing, quilting, Halloween, and scrapbooking.
Preceded in death by parents, George and Bonnie Redden and siblings, Betty and Gene.
Survived by loving husband, Thomas Sladek; children, Lisa Newman, Michelle Krecklow, Tommy Sladek; sister, Sharon Wilson; step-brother, Billy Sharp; grandchildren, Adam Krecklow, Nicholas Krecklow, Brandon Krecklow, Devon Krecklow, Skye Sladek; and many additional grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation with family will be Saturday 10/19/2024 at 1:00 pm with a Funeral Service starting at 3:00 pm at Kahler-Dolce Mortuary; 441 N Washington St Papillion, NE 68046.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Salvation Army or Scatter Joy Acres in Sandra's memory.
