So sorry to hear of the loss of your father. I didn't get the privilege of meeting him, But reading the guest book, he was a wonderful man, and will be greatly missed. I will keep you and your famiily in my prayers.

Mrs. Lemek (Jan!), Robbie, Mike,Cindy and Cathy...and Lemek famiily (I hope I didn't forget anyone)...Oh my gosh...I have this new habit of reading obits on line since my dad died May 1, 2010...Sunday night I view Bob's passing.

I am saddened to read of Mr. Lemek's passing.  I have nothing but good memories of your very hard working and devoted father.  He treated all of us Cathedral boys with "tough love" that would be expected from a proud, protective Papa.  My prayers go out to your family and your wonderful Dad.  In his own very modest way he had a huge impact on my work ethic, and yes we were all very afraid of Mr. Lemek, for all the right reasons.  Mike, perhaps your Pops is teeing off, or wishing my Dad a good day in heaven...I am sure they both could share a good laugh, about the stunts we thought we got away with.  God Bless you all!

Bob Lemek was my uncle, a simple soul that shared everything he could.  He had a natural gift with people.  You could talk to Bob about anything, and he would listen, and be that understanding person you needed.  
I will always remember Bob in this manner, he would play and share with child like beauty.  Bob would give of his time and share a moment without judgment or hesitation.  He was humble, and caring.  I always thought of Bob Lemek as one of those special people in this world that can accept what is in front of him, and not add expectation to it.

I hesitate to say this because my writing is not always clear, but I always thought of my uncle when I would hear this passage.  Not because he was a child, but because he accepted and loved as a child.
 
Matthew 18: 1-5   At that time the disciples came to Jesus and said, “Who then is greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” And He called a child to Himself and set him before them, and said, “Truly I say to you, unless you are converted and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven. “Whoever then humbles himself as this child, he is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. 
 
I know in my heart that my uncle has a really good seat in heaven.

We are so sorry for the loss of Bob from our lives.  His life was a special part of ours.  Our prayers are for him and for you, Janice and Mike, Robby, Cindy and Kathy, their spouses, and all the grandchildren and great grandchildren. I remember my uncle Bob being in my life since I was very young....we used to spend a lot of time with he and Jan and all of my cousins when we first moved to Omaha years ago.  I can remember Bob always laughing, watching football and chewing doublemint gum....he was always there at the important events in my life.
