She was born in Creston, IA in 1949 to Ruby and Harry Osborn. She started her passion for teaching in Sioux City, IA in 1971 and moved to the Ralston School District in 1972 where she taught elementary education for 39 years until retirement in 2011. When she wasn't teaching she loved spending time with family, reading, and going to the zoo with the grandchildren.
Preceded in death by Parents Harry & Ruby Osborn; Brother Gary Osborn; In-Laws Glenn & Marvella Johnson.
Survived by Husband of 47 years, Ivan Johnson; Son Derek (Jasmyn) Johnson, Daughter Melissa (Jeff) Mann; Grandchildren Addison & Thayer Johnson, Peyton Mann; Brother in Law Alan Johnson; Sisters in Law Joan (Don) Burg, Mary Osborn; Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A memorial visitation for Nicki will be held Monday, October 28, 2024 from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM at Kahler-Dolce Mortuary, 441 N. Washington St., Papillion.
